Doggo!
I don’t even know where to begin with this great place. Doggo is a doggy day care centre located in New Mills, run by Olivia and her dad John. When I was searching for a part time job and saw an advert for a part time doggo daycare assistant, I knew I had to apply. When Liv took the advert down before I had chance to apply, I stalked their Doggo Facebook page till they eventually invited me for a trial and I got the job. It fits in perfectly with my photography and allows me to enjoy going to work, I mean who can be unhappy when surrounded by dogs?!
This weekend just passed was Doggo’s first birthday party, a perfect opportunity to celebrate a year of Doggo whilst also raising money for Spike. Spike is a doggo regular who is needing double hip surgery despite not even being a year old. I am so pleased to say that the total amount raised was £720 and hope that Spike is back at Doggo with his new hips soon!
The day consisted of prosecco, pawsecco, cakes, dog ice cream, a sandpit, a ball pit, sun, a dog show and lot and lots of dogs, what more can you want! The turnout was brilliant and it was so nice to meet pawrents of the dogs I see weekly, as well as meeting lot of new doggos!
